Gilded Mirror On The Wall
I’d like to ask a question, to the the wyrdest one of them all…
Does your reflection whisper? Whimper?
Does your perception roar with a wildness? Fiercely.
What are you trying to say with your image? If you are a maker of meaning and delight? Don’t you start with what you see upon first sight? So focus on looks, honestly it’s half of the battle. I’ll teach you to walk, to talk and to dress, like the queen of your dreams, the muse who gets to dance with the mirror of desire.
So think about it, the light reflected, it’s a literal reflection, a whisper, a roar — if, and only if, you know your story.
And oh how you wish to spell it.
So what if you know the best parts of you come from someone else? What if the inspiration, the reminder does wonders? The full glance of a look into Self , when the perceptions of self expand past daring to know, to will, to become, one.
One with those watching in admiration, one with the ones looking on in disgust, one with the monster inside of your ego begging to get out. Thus, living, as truthfully as possible, Living as desireably as possible. YOU are making this.
This “journey” with Self. With godself, with revealing and workshopping, licking, and desiring that whole and complete, open-hearted love.
The red glow of passion, trust in you gut, embers of hellfire displacing anger and regret.

When you feel seen for the very first time, undressed for more than yourself. For your memories, for your love, your self-love, your dark days and most romantic affairs. When you witness the passion it takes to create you step in to the scene with unwavering delivery. You know what to wear, you trust your hair flips are fire and the wave of emotions feels current. Your make-up is flawless, lashes towards heaven, and silk drapes your spine.
Picture the motions, the oceans of ideas, inspired by myth, legend, timeless, romanticism and betrayals, the unlimited wealth of living pictures.
So what you think you’re shy? Picture the woman who never tries. Sad and regretful. The playful, confident ones always take the cake and eat it to.

The Animal In A Dress theory is simple. It’s primal. The natural, intuitive dance with Self. This alchemical transformation one gets to go through.
Obviously, LAMINA is Animal spelled backwards and if you don’t know that by now, allow me to introduce you sometime…
To the voice in your gut.
The wisdom in your womb.
The space has been carved with my teeth, in order for you to take up space, grow your roots.
We use our voice to re-write the scared, scarred, timid, fearful narrative that states we cannot be sexy and smart, wise and turned-on, alive and in our power, choosing for Self, One with Our Sacred Desires.
So, to be worshipped, revered, in your power — IN YOUR TURN ON.
We stand.
Up to the fears, the voices of hate or scarcity, or the screams of politics.
The rendition of the timeless tale women serving men for the sake of a meal. Baby, it’s your turn to eat.

But to be clear,
I am an Animal In A Dress — I know the powers that I possess and I choose to activate them daily in order to eat in my images and shine light for those that survive. I intend to be a guide for those who survive and I’ve written the guides to help you thrive here, in the LAMINA Boudoir.
As a guide for those who survive, Animal In A Dress turns a light toward the shadows in order to illuminate immaculate truths.
Allow me to be your guide, now trust me, we ask the spirit guides for path clearing and alignment everyday, trust, trust the voice in your gut and that the hurt will stray. You are not living with ghosts afraid of the living. You are not the others, who choose to sacrifice. You know who you are and the powers you possess. You are an Animal In A Dress. You activate your life with passion, co-creation, tuned-in and turned on by your wildest, deepest, desires, most sacredly.

Inspiration
Recently I wrote about what still lives in my body, as an occurrence of PTSD and an observance of the mirror the universe presents. I mentioned my anger, and it’s guiding restraint. I even imaged a scenario with macarons and masochistic provocations.

And so if we go back to the philosophy of photography, the theories behind the bruising that AIAD, or the brand itself, Animal In A Dress, as a concept — what it does. In theory, the shadows expose the textures and variations within the light. The highlights reflect the subject with joy as the demeanor of the model is exposed with a gesture of the hand pointing back to shadows.
The shadow work, with self-perfections, procures image making meaning of our worth. Perceptions of others circles back to the plot. The wish to create art! With a joyful, childlike wandering back to where we’re going together.
In our images, with our voices and bodies, in this time and space.
