I think we should celebrate our lives by dressing to the tune of our own fashion. If you play dress up with a child you’ll find it’s not that made up at all.

Vintage Atelier
I started a business when I was 21, made it official on Earth Day, my birthday. Curating, gathering, sourcing, finding, mending, protecting. Objects and garments, meant to live continued, cared for lives. I am a middle woman, of sorts, helping gems and jewels find their way home.

My work exists because :
I was hurt; even though bad things have happened to me I choose to heal and grow on.
I got up and did something about it; even if it was simply dressing up for the day.
I intend to heal, I intend to thrive, I intend to be a guide for those who also survive.
What if it’s less about being or looking perfect and more about feeling into our bodies and making art? We deserve to feel it.

Boudoir
If only someone said this one word, “boudoir,” in art school, would I have had a totally different (possibly more clear cut) path into my current business. I intend to do the work to heal and in photographing that transformation the artwork we create is gestural boudoir photography.
The fine line between fantasy and seduction creates a dream and a magical wish sent out into the universe, as a gesture, a photograph gilded, and framed in gold, to be revered.

I was hurt, a female body wounded. I choose to get up, take a breathe, get to work. I breathe, take care of self. I also teach yoga and meditation. I intend to travel time and manifest a life of abundant gratitude and healing. I create. I do the work. I am not afraid to look at my shadow self. I bask in my laughter and bow at the altar of by bod. I celebrate. I dress up in order to dress down. I am an Animal In A Dress, a guide for those who survive.
