Courtney Lorene Senousy is an animal in a dress who is not afraid to stand in her power. She said “Yes” to herself when she embraced this luxury experience and empowerment photoshoot. Courtney was coming out of a cocoon phase and exclaimed “You're what I've been looking for!” on her consultation call to plan her session. She could see herself on the other side of the camera with confidence, making a powerful image of a woman who owns her body, without fear.

Courtney’s LAMINA Boudoir empowerment session included professional hair & makeup artist, Carrie The Glow Queen, and, of course, expert styling of her wardrobe for the day. After documenting the reveal of her makeup and double checking there was nothing about the look that was out of place. Standing near the entrance to the boudoir she spotted the tarot deck and was ready for a read before it was even offered. Her empowerment journey includes work with the cards and the interpretation presented to her was received with gratitude and encouragement in return. “ Even though we have been through hell & fire how can we rise and stand in our power ?? “

Courtney’s muse session featured a beautiful black bodysuit, a garment which would stun on any body type. She paired a vibrant kimono and fishnets to complete the look, which also meant having a layer to remove and play with. We added a huge fan for effect. Keeping the classic vibe a simple bra, panty and blazer completed her second look. Again, layers to remove. The photoshoot was focused to the boudoir room which features a brass bed, vintage vanity, gold pole, gilded mirrors, the yellow wallpaper, and even that gorgeous rug. The private studio in Historic Irvington Indiana is calming and invites time to pause to further the empowerment conversation as we make art.
